&lt;br/&gt;Abstract: Carla Diana will talk about her experience as an industrial and &#xD;
interaction designer dealing with user experiences both digital and &#xD;
physical. Through a showcase of client work, personal research and art &#xD;
installations, she will demonstrate how ideas, experiences and &#xD;
seamless influences form richer and deeper solutions than those &#xD;
attained through traditional processes alone. Carla Diana is a creative professional with over 15 years of &#xD;
experience. She holds an MFA in Design from Cranbrook Academy of Art &#xD;
and a BME from the Cooper Union. She has worked at Frog Design, &#xD;
Sarkissian-Mason, DDB Needham and Karim Rashid studio. She is a &#xD;
founding partner of Spank, design consultancy and creator of &#xD;
Repercussion.org interactive sound. She has also taught design at &#xD;
Parsons School of Design, Savannah College of Art and Design.

&lt;br/&gt;Description: Presented on November 14, 2007, 6 to 7 pm in the Van Leer Building Auditorium on the Georgia Tech campus; Aura Oslapas is a partner of A+O Design Methods in Palo Alto, using design methods to help companies reframe and rethink how people engage with their offerings in the broad landscape of customer experience. &#xD;
&#xD;
Previously, Aura was a principal of Stone Yamashita Partners, a strategic vision consultancy and director of the San Francisco IDEO office. Aura founded and chaired the Industrial Design program at the California College of Arts in San Francisco. She is currently an Adjunct Professor in their graduate program in Design.</description>

&lt;br/&gt;Authors: Berryman, Michelle
&lt;br/&gt;
&lt;br/&gt;Abstract: Using her career path as an example, Michelle Berryman, President, Industrial Designers Society of America, will discuss career opportunities for women designers. She will also talk abut the growing opportunities for women and how to take advantage of gender inequities in the marketplace. A founding Principal in the firm Echo Visualization, Michelle Berryman is a graduate of Georgia Tech holding a BS in ID degree and a MS focused on interaction design. She is an award-winning designer with a portfolio that includes a variety of projects ranging from consumer products to ubiquitous user interfaces. She has worked for international clients like Electrolux, Nike, and Siemens. She serves as IDSA’s President. In 2005, Michelle was named one of "10 Innovators You Should Know" by Deep magazine in its Southern by Design issue.
