      <title>School of Electrical and Computer Engineering Strategic Plan, 2007</title>
      <link>http://smartech.gatech.edu/handle/1853/18831</link>
      <description>Title: School of Electrical and Computer Engineering Strategic Plan, 2007
&lt;br/&gt;
&lt;br/&gt;Abstract: As the largest of nine schools&#xD;
and departments in the&#xD;
College of Engineering and&#xD;
the largest individual school&#xD;
at Georgia Tech, the School&#xD;
of ECE has a critical role in&#xD;
helping the Institute achieve&#xD;
its vision “to define the technological&#xD;
research university&#xD;
of the 21st century and educate&#xD;
the leaders of a technologically&#xD;
driven world.” It is in the context&#xD;
of this strategic plan that ECE&#xD;
will work to advance the vision of&#xD;
Georgia Tech.&#xD;
Over the next five years, the&#xD;
following seven objectives&#xD;
will guide ECE:&#xD;
1. Technical- and leadership-based&#xD;
curriculum; &#xD;
2. Top student recruitment; &#xD;
3. Interdisciplinary research; &#xD;
4. Faculty recruitment,&#xD;
development, and retention; &#xD;
5. Commercialization;&#xD;
6. Global expansion;&#xD;
7. Enhanced visibility.</description>
