Abstract: Two University of Georgia librarians describe the process used for adding electronic resources to GALILEO, as well as the communication mechanism employed to report changes to and problems with these resources.
Description: Monica Pereira is a reference bibliographer/public services librarian at the Science Library at the University of Georgia. She has a Masters in Library and Information Studies from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She enjoys learning and teaching opportunities, and was recently overheard to say, "If not now, when? The older I get, the shorter life is." Electronic resource management is just such an opportunity. Diana Hartle is a reference librarian at the University of Georgia's Science Library. In addition to instruction duties, She is also responsible for helping to troubleshoot access issues related to electronic resources.
