Abstract: Staff from GALILEO, Georgia’s virtual library, discuss the changing world of electronic resource management, including the development and maintenance of homegrown systems, the need to be interoperable with outside systems, and the need to share information and control with participating libraries.
Description: Lauren Fancher is the director of GALILEO Support Services, University System of Georgia. GALILEO is Georgia's Virtual Library, providing online access to both consortially purchased and locally purchased resources through a centrally-managed web-portal for educational communities in Georgia: public and private colleges and universities, K-12, and public libraries. Brad Baxter is an Information Analyst for GALILEO Development, University of Georgia.
