Abstract: Library needs are far more complex due to the migration to electronic content. This complexity is compounded by a lack of overall standards and consistency. Our program will look at how agents are using their unique position to form collaborations with libraries, publishers, and ILS vendors on initiatives to drive standards, transparency and efficiency for greater electronic access.
Description: A leading innovator of electronic media and business models for the publishing industry, Ezra T. Ernst was appointed CEO of Swets Information Services North America in September 2005. Mr. Ernst has successfully developed and implemented strategies as companies move from print to electronic business models, utilizing his extensive expertise in new media technologies, publishing and information content, rights and permissions, electronic product development, and fulfillment. Before coming to Swets, Mr. Ernst held a range of senior management roles at Wolters Kluwer, helping to advance the company to a formidable position in the medical publishing industry.
