Abstract: DLF's Electronic Resource Management Initiative (ERMI) indicated a need for standardization of e-resource license terms and administrative details. This will facilitate licensing communication among libraries and their partners, but must respect the interests of all participants. Prominent issues include protection of intellectual property, copyright and fair use, and DRM technology.
