Abstract:	Georgia Tech concluded the 2007-08 academic year by celebrating the presidency of Dr. G. Wayne Clough as he departed to head the Smithsonian Institution. His fourteen-year tenure was a genuinely transformative era for Georgia Tech-a time when the Institute's upward trajectory accelerated and it came to be consistently ranked among the nation's top ten public universities.
