Abstract: Husband and wife architecture alums William J. Stanley III (Arch 1972) and Ivenue Love-Stanley (Arch 1977) broke new ground for African American architects in the South, with notable works such as Horizon Sanctuary of the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church and the Aquatic arena that was used for the 1996 Summer Olympic Games.
