| Abstract: | Three librarians from the University of Georgia present their workflow for the acquisition and cataloging of electronic journals. |
| Description: | Beth Thornton is Head of Serials Cataloging at the University of Georgia. Her responsibilities include cataloging serials in all formats, maintenance of serial records, and coordination of the work (incuding CONSER) of the Serials Cataloging Section. She has been at UGA since 1996. Beth received her library degree from Rosary College (now Dominican University) in 1993. Sophie Dong is a Serials Cataloging Librarian at the University of Georgia. She is responsible for cataloging serials in all formats, and maintenance of serial records. In addition, she is currently working on a project to process and catalog a large donation of Chinese materials. She came to the University of Georgia in 2003. Sophie received her MLS from Syracuse University in 2001. Dana Walker is the Electronic Resources Coordinator at the University of Georgia Libraries. She is responsible for licensing, acquiring, and securing access to all UGA databases and electronic journals. She received her library degree from Florida State University in 1988 and has been at UGA since 2000. |
