| Abstract: | This presentation will discuss Google’s Library Print Project, an effort to digitize the collections of five major libraries. Information will be provided on the basics of Google Print, along with some potential strengths and weaknesses. Also, criteria will be presented for determining individual libraries’ responses to such digitization projects. |
| Description: | Jaena Hollingsworth is currently in her second semester in the School of Library and Information Studies at the University of Alabama. She is the recipient of an Institute of Museum and Library Services fellowship designed to prepare the next generation of academic librarians. This presentation materialized from her work on a project in the University of Alabama Libraries as part of that fellowship. She also has a Master’s degree in English from the University of Alabama, with an emphasis on African American Literature. |
