Abstract:
|
Electronic Resources Team members are key people from all departments that work with electronic resources, including Cataloging, Systems, Acquisitions, Collection Development, and Public Service.
During the course of several years, the team learned to work together to develop winning strategies and relationships with vendors, bring in faculty supporters to identify and publicize new resources, create multiple ways to find resources within the OPAC and library website, and streamline workflow processes and policy.
Highlights included learning to work together virtually, and a faculty salon event to celebrate the grant funding of an expensive new resource whose subjects spanned across the university curriculum.
By the end of this session, attendees will be able to identify five strategies for managing electronic resources. Practical tips and techniques from the audience may also be discovered. |
