The sixth annual workshop built on the accomplishments of the previous five—three in Europe (Lisbon, Portugal 2003, Athens, Greece 2005 and Bordeaux, France 2007) and two in the United States (Mountain View, Calif. 2004 and Pasadena, Calif. 2006). Key objectives included fostering international involvement in planetary exploration with probes and engaging the next generation of scientists and engineers in this exciting field.
