1371 Computing for Engineers
(3-0-3)
This
course satisfies both the programming and computer literacy general education
requitements.
Additionally,
the prerequisites for CS 1322 were changed to “CS 1321
or CS 1371”
4.
McMath discussed
General Education requirements and the need for assessment. Wills said that a
sub-committee of the IUCC would be established to deal
with this issue. Also,
the need for a sub-committee to handle program review was also discussed.
5.
The Committee
heard 3 personal appeals and reviewed 5 petitions,
covering 9 actions. All were approve except noted:
2-appeals
to change grades to “Ws” past deadline (2denied)
1-appeal
to have academic standing changed to probation (1 denied)
1-appeal
to graduate with a low gpa
3-to
substitute course(s) for other course(s)
1-to
return fall 2003 after withdrawing summer 2003
1-to
be concurrently enrolled fall 2003
