Creating an Organizational Structure and Process to Manage Electronic Serials Collections

Abstract

Faced with nearly a million dollar annual electronic resources budget, the Gumberg Library at Duquesne University

formed an Electronic Resources Review Committee (ERRC) in January 2005 which included technical services,

reference, and information technology librarians. The committee worked to reevaluate all current electronic resource

subscriptions, especially electronic journals, and to include faculty in the decision making process.
