Position Summary: Under the direction of the College Dean, the Assistant Dean may have direct responsibility for undergraduate/graduate student diversity, recruitment, enrollment and retention; undergraduate programs; development and management of appropriate continuing/professional education offerings; supervision of College student services; assisting with fundraising efforts for the College; acting as a liaison with students to resolve issues as they arise; and assisting in creation of the teaching schedule for College offerings each semester. The Assistant Dean works closely with the Dean, other Associate/Assistant Deans in the College, and other Georgia Tech faculty, staff, and administrators to ensure that the College fulfills its mission to provide Georgia Institute of Technology and the state of Georgia with the scientific and technological knowledge base, innovation, and workforce it needs to shape a prosperous and sustainable future and quality of life for its citizens.
