dc.descriptionQiao Qiong graduated from Beijing Normal University and obtained her degree in Educational Economy and Management in 2006. She has held a position of Research Assistant in School of Continuing Education in Tsinghua University since 2006. Her research focus on Higher Continuing Education Management, Distance Educational Management, and Distance Higher Education. Ma Yongbin graduated from Tsinghua University. He is associate researcher, and his current research interests are Higher Educational Administration, Organizational Behavior of University and Enterprise Management. Now, he is the director of Research Center, School of Continuing Education in Tsinghua University. Yang Xiaohui graduated from Education Sociology at Beijing Normal University. Her main research fields are Female Higher Education, Sociology of Higher Education and Higher continuing education.
dc.description.abstractCurrently in China, the gradual mainstreaming of continuing education is the most significant indication of lifelong education evolving from ideal to practice. As the main providers of continuing education, universities should respond instantly to the evolution of continuing education. Under this background and considering the characteristics and development problem of continuing education in universities, this paper discusses the development approach of education institutes. Suggestions are given in several aspects including refinement of quality assurance system, implementation of divergent strategy, strengthening the project research and development, consolidating the teacher resource, and so on.en
