Fedora and Django for an Image Repository: A New Front-End
MetadataShow full item record
Here at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, we have created a new front-end to Fedora using Django and Python. Our Fedora repository is used to store primarily images of various types, with varying levels of security requirements. In order to achieve maximum flexibility and rapid turn-around on our projects, we turned to a significantly more agile language and a web framework that allows the developer to concentrate on domain-specific logic. This presentation will detail our solutions for Fedora ingestion, and integration of Fedora within the Django web framework, as well as include an active demonstration of our repository front-end.
