2010 was the tenth annual Founder's Day celebration of the legacy of the College's namesake, Ivan Allen Jr. (1910-2003). A former Atlanta mayor, gifted business man, civil leader, and alumnus of Georgia Tech, Mr. Allen embodied our aspirations for graduates of the College. Founder's Day honor's his memory through a day of festivities on or near the occasion his March 15 birth date.

"The Allen legacy inspires the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts and the whole of Georgia Tech to represent in our teaching, research, and public service all of the human values the Allen legacy has come to stand for," --Georgia Tech President G.P. "Bud" Peterson.
