The Institute motto of "Progress and Service" is an important part of every Yellow Jacket's life. We hope that you are able to join us for an eye opening and inspiring discussion of this week's topic of "service," what it means to serve others, and to whom we owe service, led by SGA Undergraduate President, Corey Boone. Institute President, Dr. G. P. "Bud" Peterson will also be in attendance to discuss this week's topic. This week's Tech Open Forum is inspired by "This I Believe", an international project engaging people in writing and sharing essays describing the core values that guide their daily lives. This exercise is based on a 1950s radio program of the same name, hosted by journalist Edward R. Murrow. Each day, Americans gathered by their radios to hear compelling essays from the likes of Eleanor Roosevelt, Jackie Robinson, Helen Keller, and Harry Truman, as well as corporate leaders, cab drivers, scientists, and secretaries - anyone able to distill into a few minutes the guiding principles by which they lived.
