  • Osmotic Pressure of Microgel Suspensions

Markou, George Christos (Georgia Institute of Technology, 2013-05-08)
Microgels are used in applications ranging from optics to medicine. Due to their ubiquity, a better understanding of their mechanical properties is desired. In these systems, the softness of individual constituents plays ...
  • Advanced Mixed Matrix Membranes for Biofuel Related Separations

Dose, Michelle E. (Georgia Institute of Technology, 2013-05-08)
Algae-based biofuels are a promising approach for producing fuel grade ethanol at industrially relevant scales. To achieve this goal, algae processes require large amounts of CO₂ to operate efficiently — this CO₂ ideally ...
  • Dynamic Fluid Shear Stress Measurements on the Normal Aortic Valve Leaflet Using Laser Doppler Velocimetry

Tamilselvan, Gowthami (Georgia Institute of Technology, 2011-05-09)
Aortic valve (AV) calcification is a major cause of mortality and morbidity. This disease involves the chronic inflammation of the AV leaflets and calcium deposition, resulting in valve stenosis and regurgitation. The exact ...
