    Abstract
The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) hires the best and brightest early career scientists (ECS) to ensure its scientific future. Study objectives were to (1) assess the work-related experience of ECS and (2) develop recommendations/conclusions for Institute leadership. Findings indicated professional/career development, mentoring, and funding were most important to ECS.
