dc.description.abstractThis paper presents work on an auditory display for use in string instrument training, based on 3D motion analysis. We describe several sonifications that are intended to provide both real-time and non real-time feedback about bowing technique. Tests were conducted with string players to assess the effectiveness of the sonifications. We discuss our findings as well as ideas for further work in this area.en_US
