GAPPS7 is a computer program written in Fortran IV by Adolfo E. Zeevaert under the supervision of Richard D. Barksdale. This program was compiled and tested using the CDC CYBER 74 computer of the Georgia Institute of Technology (1979-1980). The subprograms are also written in Fortran IV; optional plotting software is used which is available for the Georgia Tech CYBER 74. GAPPS7 is a geotechnical axisymmetric finite element problem solver having the following capabilities: 1. Linear elastic analysis 2. Nonlinear and plastic behavior (Drucker-Prager Failure Criterion) of selected elements 3. Interface modeling 4. No tension analysis 5. Large displacement computation option 6. Incremental loading analysis 7. Elasticity modulus which is dependent upon confining pressure 8. Curved element boundaries 9. Plane strain option 10. Multiple load application capability 11. Selected output capability.
