From Librarians at Georgia Tech, Georgia State University, Emory University, and the University of Georgia, this is “An Introduction to Open Educational Resources”. Textbook costs are too high, and getting higher. However, there is a growing movement in academia that could bring about free and shareable textbooks to all. Open Educational Resources, or OER’s are changing the way the educational material is created and distributed. In this program, hear academic authors and advocates explain how OER’s are created, adopted, and why they could change how students learn. Includes interviews with: Nicole Allen, SPARC; David Ernst, University of Minnesota; Quill West, Pierce College; Steve Kraftchick, Emory University; Jennifer McGee, Emory Oxford College; Deanna Cozart, University of Georgia; Brian Dotts, University of Georgia.en_US
