In August 2015, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency released the Clean Power Plan, which aims to reduce carbon pollution from the U.S. power sector to 32% below 2005 levels by 2030. Georgia must submit its initial state plan for implementing the Clean Power Plan by September 2016. Georgia Tech and Climate@Emory are co-hosting a Town Hall meeting to explore the key decisions Georgia must make in developing its state plan and the potential impacts these decisions will have on our environment, our economy, our pocketbooks and our health. This event is intended to engage a broad range of stakeholders, including policymakers, practitioners, students, and the general public.en_US
