dc.description.abstractThe objective of this thesis is to develop a Faster than Nyquist Signaling (FTNS) scheme which is grounded on EST based Iterative Decision Feedback Equalization (IDFE). FTNS is a way to increase the data rate by giving up orthogonal condition in both domains. But FTNS increases demodulation complexity and instability at the expense of high data rate. We first analyze EST based IDFE one by one. The first way to construcut Ideal Energy Spreading Transform is suggested. Also couple of ways to enhance IDFE performance are also proposed. Then the new modified EST nased IDFE is applied to FTNS problem.
