dc.description.abstractScanner is a digital demonstrator of a laser scanner. The demonstrator provides students an opportunity to gain hands-on learning experience by replacing a physical instrument. This is valuable when such physical devices are not available. The digital demonstrator is applied in a building construction scenario. The intent of this digital device is to serve as a testbed for other digital demonstrators, primarily for STEM education. Scanner enables equipment access to students in remote learning environments or in situations where access to equipment is restricted. Scanner can also be used as an instructional tool in a classroom setting to showcase the functionality of the physical instrument.en_US
