Title: Developing Web Database Applications

Abstract: Focusing on real-world library applications, this session will demonstrate how Open Source software (i.e. MySQL/PHP) can be used to efficiently and cost-effectively develop innovative content management systems, URL reference databases and related web-based information portals. The session will demonstrate working modules, highlight important development resources and offer practical, introductory guidance in this exciting area.
Description: Isaac Hunter Dunlap is an Associate Professor and Librarian, Coordinator of Information Systems at Western Illinois University Libraries. He has a Master of Library and Information Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a Master of Divinity from the School of Theology, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, KY.
