European Union Center of Excellence at Georgia Tech (EUCE)

The European Commission selected The Sam Nun School of International Affairs at the Georgia Insitute of Technology as one of eleven European Union Centers of Excellence (EUCE) in the United States. These Centers of Excellence were created to promote awareness and understanding of the European Union (EU) and transatlantic relations. Established in the fall of 2008, the EUCE at Georgia Tech builds and strengthens the deep economic and cultural ties among Europe, the State of Georgia, and the Southeast.

The EUCE focuses on three core activities: research, outreach and education. The EUCE fosters interdisciplinary research collaboration among scholars, scientists and practitioners and supports outreach activities via executive roundtables, conferences, speaker series’ and workshops. The EUCE promotes education about the EU by sponsoring a certificate in EU affairs, offering courses within The Sam Nunn School of International Affairs, organizing an annual study abroad program and supporting secondary school teacher workshops.
